Towanda Civic Works envisions a strong and vibrant Towanda shaped by the people who call it home. We bring residents and partners together, make plans for the future, invest in local opportunities, and turn shared ideas into lasting community progress.
Every project starts as an idea from a neighbor. Our research work helps us turn that idea into a plan. Our development work turns that plan into real community impacts.
Community Research
We collect data, write policy briefs and build tools that help Towanda understand its opportunities.
Community Development
We turn well-researched ideas into action alongside residents, businesses and the Borough.
Historic Preservation
We help property owners learn about and preserve Towanda's historic character.
Who we are…
Towanda Civic Works is an independent, volunteer-run community group started by Beau and Leesa, with support from many of our friends and family. We are not a government agency, are not affiliated with any political campaign, and are not asking for donations. Every hour we spend is out of our spare time, and every dollar is out of our own bank accounts.
